Brian Hu

I was first drawn to fencing by how tactical the sport is, how winning isnt determined purely by physique but by strategical brilliance and adapting on the spot. I got into coaching while serving as the foil captain of Hwa Chong JC. Teaching my batch mates who were new to the sport helped me reflect on my own fencing and also taught me how to work with drastically different people.
 

As a coach I hope to teach my students not only good fundamentals and technique, but also the ability to think on the piste and fence to the best of their abilities.
