Cao Yubo (Sabre)

Fencing has been a cornerstone of my life since my teenage years, profoundly shaping my character and molding me into the person I am today. This intense, fast-paced combat sport, known for its tactical complexity, has taught me invaluable lessons that extend far beyond the piste. Through fencing, I have learned the virtues of perseverance, fortitude, humility, and confidence—lessons that I believe hold significant value for everyone, regardless of their pursuits.

With over a decade of experience as a mentor for youth, both in academic settings and within the realm of fencing, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of nurturing interest and passion throughout the learning process. I am dedicated to fostering an environment where young athletes can thrive, not just by winning, but by embracing the joy and growth that come from overcoming setbacks.

Some of my most memorable moments as a coach come from witnessing my students achieve remarkable milestones they once thought were out of reach. These accomplishments highlight the impact of dedication and hard work, reinforcing my belief in the potential within every individual.

In fencing, every match is an opportunity to learn and improve. The thrill of competition is tempered by the need for grace in triumph and resilience in defeat. These principles guide my coaching philosophy, where the focus is on developing well-rounded individuals who understand that every loss is an opportunity to refine their skills and every win is a stepping stone to greater heights.

As a fencing coach, my commitment is to instill these values in my students, guiding them to become not just skilled fencers but also resilient and thoughtful individuals. Together, we celebrate achievements and view setbacks as valuable lessons, continually striving for personal and athletic growth, building everyone to become a champion in their own right.
